Terms and Conditions

1. WE MOVE YOU TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CARTAGE
  1. All bookings are not confirmed until we receive your booking deposit. This will be the minimum charge of 1.5hrs.
  2. Payment to be received on or before completion of the move. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Eftpos, WINZ payments, Cash, or Internet Transfer. All Visa and MasterCard’s will be charged when the job has been completed. All bank direct credits must be cleared before the job has been completed. Sorry, we do not accept cheques.
  3. Our designated arrival time is to be considered as a guide only. Please allow at least 1 hour either side of your booking start time, Various factors can affect our arrival time such as unexpected delays on previous job(s), delays caused by traffic congestion and/or accidents, roadworks and/or closures, streets not on maps and/or incorrect directions supplied by customer, weather, truck breakdown, etc. We Move You Ltd and/or its agents will maintain contact with you in the event any delay is going to be significant.
  4. The estimate given for any/all jobs is provided based upon information supplied by the customer and/or their agent and can be affected by several things. The customer must ensure they have provided us with as much detail as possible to avoid delays which will cause the job to take longer than estimated.
  5. The half hourly rate charged on a depot-to-depot system. Time will start when we leave the depot, and the driver will estimate the drive back to the depot allowing for traffic.
  6. Typical delays that can be avoided and/or accounted for at time of booking are difficult vehicle accessibility for loading, stairs, more items than advised at time of booking, extra-large or odd shaped items, distances from truck to house(s), waiting for customers and/or keys, poor packing of cartons, additional pick up and/or drop off points, extreme weather conditions,
  7. To help avoid unnecessary time accrued, wherever possible, the customer should advise Easy Movers Ltd and/or its agents ASAP of any road closures and/or events that could delay the transportation of your goods from the origination address to the destination.
  8. Customers are to ensure they have an acceptable form of payment available upon completion of the job as delays caused whilst the truck waits for payment are chargeable.
  9. In the unlikely event of any incident that may cause a halt to the transportation of your goods, the half hourly rate will still be liable from the customer.
  10. We Move You Ltd and/or its agents takes all due care and attention during your move but no liability. Please advise your insurers that your goods will be in transit.
  11. In the event you would like your goods to be insured, please contact We Move You and/or its agents and we can arrange for a quote to have your items covered during transport and relocation.
  12. The price quoted for your move is based upon our standard move terms which includes that in accordance with Clause 8 of the Carriage of Goods Act 1979 We Move You Ltd and/or its agents advise that they take all due care and attention and subject to Clause 12 a) herein, your move is accepted upon the understanding that it is ‘at owners’ risk’.
    1. In the event you would like your move to be at We Move You Ltd and/or its agent’s risk, we are happy to offer this peace of mind service and if so required, you are to contact us without delay so we can provide an alternative quote for same.
  13. We Move You Ltd and/or its agents reserves the right to modify and vary these terms and conditions at any time.
  14. If We Move You Ltd and/or its agents fails to enforce any terms or to exercise its rights under these terms and conditions at any time, We Move You Ltd and/or its agents has not waived those rights
2. CANCELLATION FEES
  1. If you wish to cancel your booking you are advised to do so at the earliest possible opportunity to minimise any fees.
  2. In the event a cancellation is received within 48 hours of your booking, your deposit will not be refunded.
3. PRICING
  1. Our rates are calculated on our estimates.
4. LOCAL MOVES (Greater Auckland District)
  1. The hourly rate is charged on a depot-to-depot system. Time will start when the truck leaves the depot, and the driver will calculate the drive back to the depot allowing for traffic
  2. Additional address pick-ups/drop offs are charged at a discussed price +gst per additional address.
6. OUT OF AUCKLAND MOVES
  1. There is a minimum charge of discussed rate +gst. This will cover you for 1.5hrs with 2 x movers and a truck including travel, any additional time spent is charged at a discussed rate +gst per half hour charged on a depot-to-depot system. Time will start when your truck leaves the depot, and the driver will calculate the drive back to the depot allowing for traffic.
  2. Additional address pick-ups/drop offs are charged at a discussed price +gst per additional address.

8. AGREEMENT

By clicking “I Agree” on the We Move You website and submitting booking information through We Move You Ltd online booking Service you agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, and any documents incorporated by reference.  They further agree that this User Agreement forms a legally binding contract between you and We Move You Ltd and/or its agents, and that this Agreement constitutes “a writing signed by You” under any applicable law or regulation. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by We Move You Ltd and/or its agents. This Agreement is subject to change by We Move You Ltd without prior notice (unless prior notice is required by law).
